As well as a sterling production of Surfing, Carmarthen Bay, The Unknown Theatre Company took Ghost City by Gary Owen to the Glamorgan Drama League's annual One-Act Play Festival at Swansea's Dylan Thomas Theatre.
Ghost City not only picked up the Youth Award (that's 4 years in row now), but Melissa Moore won the Best Performance Award (not won by a youth theatre member before) and we also scored highly enough to be invited to perform in the Wales Final Festival of One-Act Plays in Milford Haven on 6th June 2009. It is extremely rare for youth companies to get a place in the final, so we are particularly delighted. We performed some interval songs and dances during the festival, on the last night, ensuring that the company's wide range of skills were clearly on display!
