We are always looking for new members, both for the YoYos (aged 8-13) and our main group (aged 13-25). The YoYos group is currently full, but we are always happy to add names to our waiting list.

Auditions

Sunday 5th February 2012 is the audition date for the 2012 season of shows for The Unknown Theatre Company.

The main focus of the audition will be our first show : Unga Bunga. This audition session will be casting for Unga Bunga and the first-round casting for the other shows.

Also being auditioned for are the remainder of our shows for the season

Assassins by Stephen Sondheim

Our House (featuring the music by Madness)

as well as our show for the Edinburgh Festival fringe in August.

You can choose which shows you would like to be considered for.

The first three shows are open to all ages (though younger members should realise that rehearsals may run to 9.30pm and performances to over 10pm), but the Edinburgh production this year is for over 18 years only.

If you are unable to make to the audition on 5th February, you may be able to audition at a later date when you will be considered for any parts not already cast. For this reason you are advised to attend the auditions on 5th February to maximise your chances.

Shows later in the season may have recalls, but as far as possible casting will be completed based on the auditions on 5th February.

Where: Roath Church House (upstairs), Waterloo Road, Cardiff.

When: Sunday 5th February from 2pm, but you will need to reserve yourself a slot. At the time of writing, we are booked up until 4.30pm.

What: You need to prepare a song that shows you at your best.

Remember that we expect

• commitment to the show, to rehearsals and to the company
• that you will learn lines/dances/songs by the dates agreed
• that you will be at rehearsals when agreed, and on time.
