| One-Act play festival, Swansea | Because of everything else going on, insufficient consideration was given to the set for the play in advance of the day. Jane brought some items down to Swansea, and Annette brought some grasses, but on the day, they just didn't work. Lon had some inspiration, so it was all hands to the bins, raiding them for old crisp packets, empty plastic bottles and the like, which were displayed as if washed up on the shore. And the adjudicator thought it worked just right! |
| Technical matters in Swansea were taken care of by Andrew Merrell and Mike Nunn. Andrew's soundscape of sea and seagulls garnered special praise from the adjudicator. | |
| Club night, Cardiff | Lon's soundscape, for the performance in Cardiff, sadly didn't go down so well as no-one could hear it, as the ballet class proceeded overhead drowning out much of the performance. |

| Special facts |
Originally, Vic Atkins was directing this show, but he was taken ill during the very short rehearsal period, so Lon stepped in and took his place. After the first performance, at the One-Act Festival in Swansea, another performance was held at Roath Church House for a club night. This meant that members of the group who were unable to see the show in Swansea got a chance to see it. It also meant we could take some photos! |
